Electro-pop duo active since 1997. One of the first groups to produce music in a virtual studio using only a PC, CAPSULE’s intense sound has made a huge impact on the music scene. The group’s new retro synth sound is created by vocalist Toshiko Koshijima and producer Yasutaka Nakata, and CAPSULE’s popularity has managed to grow beyond the borders of Japan, with the duo earning high acclaim abroad. The duo celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2022 with the release of the synth wave and city pop album Metro Pulse. Called a return to CAPSULE’s roots, the album takes listeners on a trippy tour through a unique soundscape.
