Singer-songwriter Ririka Satsuki kicked off her first solo concert tour, CROSSROADS, in August, visiting three cities: Osaka, Fukuoka, and Tokyo. The artist released the new song, I’m Happy, on October 7, which was first performed during the tour.

The new track was produced by Kenta Matsukuma, who, like Satsuki, is from Fukuoka Prefecture. It shares the emotional journey of realizing, as one navigates difficult days and anxious nights, the presence of those who support you, and how it feels to transform their warmth into your own strength. In terms of sound, the artist took on the challenge of creating a melodic and speedy hardcore sound. During her recent live shows, Satsuki filled the venue with her powerful vocals, and the audience joined in, creating a performance that brought the entire venue together. While it serves as an encouraging and uplifting song, it’s also a track that prompts listeners to reflect on those who support them and the many precious moments in their lives.

The phrase “I’m Happy” doesn’t just convey things like “fun” or “luck”; it also conveys my gratitude and happiness for “having people here” and “being able to spend ordinary days together.” I’d be happy if listening to this song helped anyone feel even a little more positive. I want them to feel like they can keep moving forward tomorrow, too.”
