Starting in the summer of 2024, Mayuki will appear in the ABC TV and TV Asahi drama series Subarashikikana, Sensei!.
The series follows the growth of a new teacher, a second-year high school teacher played by Ikuta, who is unwillingly given the homeroom teacher position and decides to quit, but somehow transforms as a human being as she continues to work hard for her students. The students who appear each week may be a source of worry or a beacon of hope for the teachers, and Mayuki will play Yuuka Saito, a student in Class 3C, the protagonist’s homeroom class.

■Summary
Rio Sasaoka is a Gen Z high school teacher who jumped into the education field filled with hopes and dreams. However, her daily workday is unimaginably stressful, and some days are so tough that she’s considering resigning in her second year. Students who live by their own rules, parents and neighbors who place too many expectations on the school, older teachers who push younger teachers to deal with tough problems…Rio spends her days complaining on social media and to her kindhearted boyfriend. “Teachers are human beings,” she wants to scream, and somehow, she manages to keep her job by channeling her natural cheerfulness and optimism.
But her patience finally reaches its limit. She decides to resign, but at the same time, there is a sudden vacancy for a homeroom teacher, and for some reason, the job of filling the vacancy falls to Rio. Her life as a teacher gets even more impossible as she’s assigned her first homeroom teacher position! What will Rio’s fate be?
