The globally popular dance-vocal group ATARASHII GAKKO! has been chosen to perform the theme song for the Japanese dubbed version of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, set to open in theaters nationwide on March 29.

The theme features a bold arrangement of the original Ghostbusters theme song and was produced by yonkey, a music producer who also created the group’s most beloved track OTONABLUE. Featuring an up-tempo melody and unforgettable lyrics, audiences won’t be able to resist the urge to dance.

A collaborative music video has also been posted to YouTube.

■Story
It’s summer in New York City and the sun is shining.
A mysterious man brings an antique that has been handed down from generation to generation to an occult appraiser on a street corner. The Spengler family, professional ghost exterminators known as ‘Ghostbusters,’ work with a research team to discover that the antique is a Ghost Orb. Inside lurks Garakka, the strongest ghost in history able to freeze everything in an instant. With the help of his many minions, this terrifying being is set free.

Garakka attacks all of New York City with the power of ice, even causing icicles to appear en masse on local beaches! The city that never sleeps is suddenly transformed as a new ice age begins.

What is Garakka’s true purpose? Who is this mysterious man? Will the Ghostbusters be able to restore summer and save both New York City and the world?
