Street dancer Miyu, who has performed on the world stage, has signed a contract with the major American agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), becoming the first Japanese dancer to do so.
CAA is a major American talent agency representing clients including Major League Baseball’s Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers, as well as actors, directors, and screenwriters. Miyu has become the first Japanese dancer to sign with the music division, which represents numerous global artists.

Miyu has been active in domestic and international battle competitions since her days as a child dancer, later blossoming as a house dancer. In 2017, at just 19 years old, she became World Champion at the “JUSTE DEBOUT 2017 WORLD FINAL” competition, establishing her international reputation within the dance scene. However, even at that point, she often felt the low social standing of dancers in mainstream society. Determined to elevate dancers’ status, Miyu has actively collaborated across diverse fields―including fashion, music, art, technology, education, and government―to showcase dancers’ potential both domestically and internationally.
In August 2024, she was personally selected by global superstar Bruno Mars to choreograph and co-star in a Don Quijote commercial, generating significant buzz.
The connection has inspired her to commit to creating global opportunities for dancers to thrive as artists. Together with CAA, she will embark on a new challenge based in both Los Angeles and Tokyo.
Along with this, new visuals created in collaboration with stylist Masataka Hattori have also been unveiled. The new visuals, achievable only through this unique collaboration between street and luxury styles, foreshadow Miyu’s emerging role as a “Movement Artist,” transcending the boundaries of dancer or model.

■Comment from Miyu
“Watching the Dodgers players Ohtani and Yamamoto, who belong to CAA, right there at the ballpark, I felt firsthand how fans from all over the world are gathering in America, crossing oceans to cheer on these Japanese athletes. I want to become a dancer who attracts and inspires many people, just like other world-class athletes and musicians. For that reason, I want become a more appealing person overall.
I believe we can discover even more possibilities for dance and dancers.
This visual shoot I took on was incredibly stimulating, and I had the opportunity to work alongside some amazing professionals.
In the world of fashion, I want to challenge myself more to express my true self as a dancer, so this shoot was a truly stunning and rewarding experience.”
■Comment from Masataka Hattori
“When I first met Miyu, she was already a world champion. I thought she was a very down-to-earth girl with a lovely smile.
In creating visuals for her global debut, I focused on conveying her movements as a dancer, her cool presence as a fashion model, and her occasional lovely smiles and charming qualities to audiences worldwide.”
