On August 17, the 15th anniversary of her debut, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu released her new song Tsukihime.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu made her debut on August 17, 2011, with her iconic mini-album Moshi Moshi Harajuku. Tsukihime, released on this date 15 years later, is the artist’s third single of 2026, following Focus Focus and KURU KURU HARAJUKU.

Somewhat unusual for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, this love song depicts straightforward romantic feelings. It captures the exhilaration of falling in love and, set in Kyary’s uniquely fantastical world, shares a story that begins with a dreamlike encounter. 

Setting itself apart from the artist’s past upbeat dance tracks, this new release blends ethereal synth songs with a more familiar J-pop melody. With Kyary’s soft, endearing vocals layered on top, this is a song unlike anything fans have heard before.

As the kickoff event for her 15th-anniversary year, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu will host her first-ever festival, “PAMYU FES,” on August 22 at Pia Arena MM.
