FRUITS ZIPPER Announces Tokyo Dome Concert, Celebrates with Fans at 3rd Anniversary Show
2025.08.04

FRUITS ZIPPER’s concert, ‘Saitama Super Arena 25th Anniversary – FRUITS ZIPPER 3rd ANNIVERSARY Chou Chou Chou Medetai Live -San-, was held on August 2 and 3 at Saitama Super Arena.
FRUITS ZIPPER is an idol group created by KAWAII LAB., a project by ASOBISYSTEM to introduce idol culture to the world. This live concert was an additional performance on top of the 3rd anniversary live concerts held in Kobe World Memorial Hall and Saitama Super Arena starting in May, and was held in stadium mode, which was even larger than the previous Saitama Super Arena concert. Tickets sold out on both days, and a total of 50,000 fans gathered at the venue.
Saitama Super Arena was overflowing with excitement even before the concert began, as fans waited eagerly for the members to appear on stage to celebrate FRUITS ZIPPER’s third anniversary. It was initially announced that the live performance would be postponed due to member Amane Tsukiashi taking a leave of absence for health reasons. However, the show went on, and many fans wore red to show their support for the missing member.
The audience cheered as the background music echoed through the venue and countless penlights glowed white. The opening image shows a devastated planet and the cat “Jippe” who is looking for the warriors who are destined to save the world. The creature awakened them with the special incantation “Maskaruno Yua Furufururu!” In response to these words, the members emerged one after another from a giant magic compact mirror. As the six members took the stage, Amane Tsukiashi’s name was called out at the end. Her presence was still indispensable as the engine that supports the members, and even though she was missing, the seven FRUITS ZIPPER members were certainly there in spirit.
The live performance started with the popular song Mirror. The members appeared in sparkling cloak costumes, but transformed into their new outfits when they sang the magic phrase “Maskaruno Yua Furufururu!” during the performance. The excitement was suddenly at its highest with this surprising, anime-like performance. “Let’s get excited, Saitama Super Arena,” Nakagawa yelled, as NEW KAWAII and Welcome to the♡ Furuppa! played.
During the first MC session, Mana Manaka declared, “I will do my best to make this the most exciting event ever with all the fans here!” Noel Hayase, the youngest member of the group, also spoke. “Can we surpass yesterday’s energy?” The venue responded with a powerful roar, and as their voices resounded, Fre-Fru Summer! and RADIO GALAXY were performed. Moving to the center of the venue on a moving stage, the members lavishly celebrated their anniversary, dancing with fans to the song San, which was created to commemorate the milestone.
The video screen then showed the cat Jippe yet again. A video clip showing sleeping FRUITS ZIPPER members was shown, as the cat woke them up, and the audience cheered. After this heartwarming sight, the members came on stage in their new costumes and performed their new song Furupparty!, which was just released on August 2. As the title of the song suggests, it is a party tune that makes one’s body move spontaneously, and Saitama Super Arena seemed to have been transformed into a giant dance hall.
Keeping up the momentum, Yui Sakurai appeared by herself. “Saitama Super Arena, let’s get excited,” she yelled, before performing her solo song Spotlight. Each member then performed their own solo song: Suzuka Chinzei’s Perstmayme, Noel Hayase’s Youngest PARADOX, Luna Nakagawa’s Chill Out, Karen Matsumoto’s Super Karen Time, and Mana Manaka’s MANAKAMANAKAMANA. The stage was filled with powerful melodies, classic idol songs, rap songs, and other unique performances that attracted the fans who gathered at the venue. Finally, the members reassembled on stage to sing CO-Kosei. The solo medley part was transformative and the essence of FRUITS ZIPPER, where strong personalities attract, create a chemical reaction, and continue to create NEW KAWAII.
The following MC introduced a cool new outfit, with the girls wearing pants for the first time on stage. “These have such beautiful sparkling beads on them, and although the shape is the same, the way everyone wears them is different and shows their individuality,” said Sakurai. Nakagawa also commented on the group’s new song Furupparty! “It’s really exciting, and I think there will be many chances for fans to play it during festivals and other events this summer, so please, enjoy it with us!”
During the second half of the concert, Hayase spoke up. “Show us the real spirit of Saitama Super Arena, the real spirit of Stadium Mode!” The energy in the venue was instantly boosted as the group performed Going!, Re→TRY & FLY, We are Frontier, and Starlight Valkyrie, songs that stand out as some of the coolest FRUITS ZIPPER tracks. Fans who gathered at the venue were overwhelmed by the member’s charms, which go beyond just being cute, and many could not take their eyes off the stage.
Jippe the cat appeared again, triggering laughter from the audience as he showed videos and photos of the members during their childhood. Amidst the fun, the magic spell to summon the members again echoed from the audience, and they appeared, dressed in cute new costumes with heart designs on their chests. FRUITS ZIPPER then performed the new song Pipopapo, which was just released. The track incorporates a variety of call-and-response scenes with fans, making it a different kind of NEW KAWAII when compared to past releases.
After showing the cool side of FRUITS ZIPPER, of course, the cute side of the group was soon to come. The medley began with Click the Like, before continuing with Happy Chocolate and Watashino Ichiban Kawaiitokoro, before concluding with the hit song Fruits Basket. Soap bubbles and penlights held by fans made the whole venue sparkle, spreading the feeling of KAWAII. During the MC that followed, Manaka shared a story about the medley, explaining that she had asked the staff if they could do it. “Do you think we’re cute,” Manaka asked the audience, to which the fans responded with loud cheers.
Finally, the final portion of the concert began. “Please continue supporting us for many years to come,” Nakagawa asked, before the girls began to perform Zutto, Zutto, Zutto! The excitement of the fans reached its climax when the group shared their love. “This was our debut song,” Sakurai said. “We’ll sing with all our heart. Kimino Akaruimiraiwo Oikakete marked the beginning of FRUITS ZIPPER, and the performance was an emotional one. “Let’s celebrate our third anniversary together,” Chinzei said before launching into ~Chou Medetai Song -Konnani Shiawasede Iinokana?-, with the audience singing along passionately.
For the encore, the girls sang the new song Pipopapo one more time. The audience was even more excited than the first performance, and their enthusiasm skyrocketed. During the MC, it was announced that Kyary Pamyu Pamyu had voiced Jippe, the cat that appeared throughout the show. “I was so happy to be able to stand on this stage with my favorite and very kind senior supporting me in this way,” Manaka said in response. “I wanted to exceed our 2nd anniversary live performance at Nippon Budokan,” Chinzei said, expressing her passionate feelings to the fans. “I want the seven of us to stand together on this stage,” declaring that Tsukiashi would return in the future.
After performing BABY I LOVED and Niji in rapid succession, the members prepared to launch into Kanpeki Shugi de☆, the last number of the show. However, suddenly, a video began playing that they didn’t expect. As the members continued to be puzzled, footage recounting the history of FRUITS ZIPPER was played for the audience. The girls had a breakout moment immediately after their debut, and each year, they have continued to perform on bigger and bigger stages, with many obstacles having stood in their way. Nevertheless, with the support of their fans and the other members, they have overcome them all. To congratulate the girls, the words ‘Tokyo Dome’ appeared, a venue known by everyone in Japan. It was announced that ‘FRUITS ZIPPER SPECIAL LIVE 2026’ will be held on February 1, 2026 at Tokyo Dome, the group’s largest venue to date.
The members broke down in tears with joy, and the audience also cried at the sight of them. This dream was made possible only because of the fans who have supported the group up to this point. The concert was made possible by the bond between FRUITS ZIPPER and those who love them. “Will you follow us to Tokyo Dome in six months,” Manaka called out, and the fans responded with loud cries. “I wanted to show my best side to all the fans who always support me, and I want to fulfill my dream of standing in Tokyo Dome, so I’m happy that this big announcement was made in front of you all,” Chinzei shared. Manaka continued, making her feelings known. “I was very anxious about how I could show how I had grown since our last performance at Saitama Super Arena, and how much I could contribute without all seven members. I truly feel that we can live thanks to all of you. There are many things to come for FRUITS ZIPPER in the future, but first, we want to make Tokyo Dome on February 1, 2026 a success, so please follow us there!” The girls then bowed deeply, showing their appreciation for all in attendance.
Finally, the last song, Kanpeki Shugide☆, began. “A Tokyo Dome concert is really happening! Look forward to it,” Nakagawa shouted with joy. After the performance, Nakagawa set a new goal: “I want to show everyone that we will be invited to Kohaku Uta Gassen this year, and I also hope to win Best Artist at the Japan Record Awards someday.” She continued, “I want to take everyone on a dome tour someday and meet many more fans in the future and make them all happy! I want everyone in the world to know about FRUITS ZIPPER, and I will do my best to make the whole planet our supporters!”
Entering its fourth year, FRUITS ZIPPER is moving on to its Asian tour and its largest venue to date, Tokyo Dome. There may be big obstacles ahead, but even so, the girls will be able to overcome them with the support of their fans. After seeing this live performance, which showed the strong bond between the fans and the members, one cannot help but anticipate what kind of landscape FRUITS ZIPPER will show us in the future.
FRUITS ZIPPER will release its 4th single CD in October. Additionally, ‘FRUITS ZIPPER SPECIAL LIVE 2026’ will be held at Tokyo Dome, and members of the official fanclub can now purchase pre-sale tickets.
