Toua has released a new song titled BEST FRIEND.

The friendship anthem turns away from the singer’s previous self-centric track, I am I, and focuses more on those who are precious in her life. The cheerful pop song highlights how wonderful it is to be supported by someone who is always there for you. 

The relatable and down-to-earth lyrics were written by Zinee, who also contributed to previous Toua tracks, along with participation from the singer herself. It was composed by Yoshi and Zinee and features Shingo Kubota (Jazzin’park) on guitar, making it a truly universal pop song.

Additionally, the jacket photo was once again taken by Keisuke Shimizu, the creative director of THE FIRST TAKE and NHK’s music documentary series Okaeri Ongaku Shitsu. It features a photo of Toua selected by the singer, and one that is said to be the closest image of her true self.
