Natsume Mito to Star in Upcoming Film ‘Kaiju Yaro!’

Actress and model Natsume Mito will star in the upcoming film Kaiju Yaro! The movie will hit theaters in January 2025.

The new movie tells the story of how local cinema is constantly changing. One day, Ichiro Yamada, who works in the tourism department at city hall in Seki, Gifu Prefecture, is ordered by the mayor to produce a “local film.” Unwilling to produce yet another boring local movie, Yamada decides instead to make a “monster movie,” something that had been his life-long dream. However, this idea eventually causes some major trouble for the city. 

Natsume Mito plays Furukawa, Yamada’s colleague in the tourism department.

<Story>
The location is Seki, Gifu Prefecture. One day, Ichiro Yamada, who works in the tourism department at city hall, is ordered by the mayor to produce a “local film.” However, Yamada doesn’t want to create another mediocre local film that can be found everywhere, so he decides to make a “monster movie,” his life-long dream! He’ll transform himself into someone better! He’ll show off his hometown! A monster will come and destroy it all!! However, his dreams develop into a major incident involving the city government…! Will Yamada be able to achieve his dream of making a “monster movie?” The love for monster films, the laughs scattered throughout the film, the struggles of the main character…this unique film has something for everyone!
