ASOBISYSTEM × TCG KAWAII LAB. AUDITION 2024 Announced

At the ‘CREATEs presents TGC KITAKYUSHU 2024 by TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION’ event held on October 12 in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, ASOBISYSTEM, along with W TOKYO, announced the TCG KAWAII LAB. AUDITION 2024, a project to discover and nurture new talent. The audition will be held in the Kyushu area and applications are now being accepted.

The project is a collaboration between the culture production company ASOBISYSTEM, known for its world-renowned artists, talents, and creators, like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Atarashii Gakko!, and FRUITS ZIPPER, and W TOKYO, the organizer and producer of Tokyo Girls Collection, the largest fashion festival in Japan held since 2005 with the tagline “Bringing Japanese girls culture to the world.” The goal is to discover the next generation of culture creators in the Kyushu area and nurture idols who can revitalize the region and share Japanese culture with the world.

Additionally, Fukuoka native and FRUITS ZIPPER member Amane Tsukiashi has been appointed as an ambassador for the project and will work to help make the project a success.

・Must be between 9 and 24 years old (Age as of April 1, 2024)
・Resident or native of the Kyushu area (Must be able to work in Kyushu)
・Any nationality (but must have resident status in Japan)
・No experience required
・Must not be affiliated with any specific production company
・Must be willing to participate in subsequent rounds of judging
・Minors must have full parental consent

W TOKYO is the planning and production company for Tokyo Girls Collection, an event held twice a year since August 2005. In 2015, the company partnered with Friends of the United Nations Asia-Pacific, and in 2018, it held an SDG-themed fashion show at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in May 2018.
