Yutaro has been selected to star in the upcoming BS Shochiku Tokyu Wednesday Drama 23 Mentsuyu Hitori Meshi 2, which is scheduled to begin airing on October 2.

The live-action series is an adaptation of Mizuki Setoguchi’s classic four-panel manga series Mentsuyu Hitori Meshi. In this unusual gourmet-comedy, a lazy office worker named Mendou Tsuyu believes that mentsuyu (a versatile Japanese seasoning) is the all-in-one solution for cooking, using it with every dish to develop the ultimate time-saving recipes known as ‘lazy meals.’ 

Yutaro will play Katsuo Honde, a job-hunting college student who won’t cut corners when it comes to mealtime.
