KAWAII LAB., a project to introduce Japan’s growing idol culture to the world, has formed a new idol group. CUTIE STREET consists of eight members, and a new group shot has been revealed.

The group’s members are Risa Furusawa, Aika Sano, Kana Itakura, Ayano Masuda, Emiru Kawamoto, Miyu Umeda, Nagisa Manabe, and Haruka Sakuraba. After several months of performance reviews and audition training camps, the eight members were finally assembled. Each member comes from a unique background, including influencers, actresses, idols, dancers, and students, and they will use their different experiences to thrive as a successful idol group.

The name CUTIE STREET stems from the concept that “you can be anyone you want to be (CUTIE) and can go anywhere you want to go (STREET).” The girls hope to inspire their fans to become exactly who they want to be.

The group’s concept is ‘KAWAII MAKER.’ With all different ages and backgrounds, the eight members will act as KAWAII MAKERS and transmit their own brand of ‘KAWAII’ from Harajuku to the world. The group shot was taken under the supervision of LARME magazine and was inspired by the ‘KAWAII MAKER’ concept.

CUTIE STREET will take the stage for the first time at TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2024, scheduled to take place in Odaiba on August 4. The KAWAII LAB. stage will become even more exciting, as FRUITS ZIPPER, CANDY TUNE, and SWEET STEADY will also make appearances.

Additionally, KAWAII LAB. SESSION Vol. 10 – CUTIE STREET will be held on September 8 at Ebisu The Garden Hall. FRUITS ZIPPER, CANDY TUNE, SWEET STEADY, and KAWAII LAB. MATES will also perform at the event.
