ATARASHII GAKKO! released their first full-length album in five years, AG! Calling, on all streaming platforms on June 7.
The new album features 11 songs co-produced by both American and Japanese producers, including Tokyo Calling, which became a smash hit in the US after the group performed it on the late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live! The songs Omakase and Arigato also appear on the album, both of which were performed by the group at this year’s Coachella.
The music video for the song Fly High has been released alongside the album. The track serves as the theme song for the Netflix filmHanma Baki VS Kengan Ashura and the video shows the members working hard in the gym and performing their signature intense dance moves.
ATARASHII GAKKO! started their World Tour Part I this month, visiting 13 locations in Europe and Asia. Their World Tour Part II is scheduled to begin in September, bringing the group to 11 locations in North America. Following this, the group will embark on its largest-ever domestic tour, performing 13 shows in seven locations around Japan. Presale tickets will be awarded via lottery and are available now.
