Singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is set to release her first new song in a year and a half. OEDOEDO will hit streaming services on April 12, 2024.

The song is the new opening theme for the popular TV anime Ninjala which has aired since 2022. Kyary has performed two songs for the series in the past–Maybe Baby and Isshin Doutai.

The new electro track was produced by Yasutaka Nakata (CAPSULE) and has a catchy hook in which Kyary sings “How’d you like to go to Edo?” OEDOEDO is a happy dance tune that will make adults and children alike want to venture out into the city. The song can be heard for the first time on the April 7th episode of TOKYO FM’s CHINTAI presents Kyary Pamyu Pamyu CHAPTER #0, in which Kyary herself will serve as the MC.

A pre-add/pre-save campaign starts today, and fans who pre-save the song on Apple Music or Spotify before its official release will receive an illustration of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu as seen on the jacket cover. Fans can enjoy the transparent background by using it in tandem with their favorite photos like a stamp.
