‘IDOL RUNWAY COLLECTION,’ a new-era girls’ event held in collaboration with Tokyo Girls Collection, will be held twice a year for the first time. The ‘4th IDOL RUNWAY COLLECTION 2026 AUTUMN/WINTER Supported by TGC’ will be held on September 20, 2026, at Yokohama Arena.

In addition to live performances by participating artists, a ‘Special Fashion Stage’ featuring idols exclusive to IRC will also be held. Visitors should look forward to this one-of-a-kind special stage, unique to IRC, where idol culture and fashion will come together.

Following the previous event, this will be organized by YOAKE entertainment, a joint venture established by ASOBISYSTEM, TWIN PLANET, W TOKYO, and Y&N Brothers.

Idols will take their place in the spotlight, and fans will fill the venue with their enthusiasm during this exciting event. IRC, which uses the runway to share with the world the one-of-a-kind experience of Japan’s ‘oshi-katsu’ culture, is now unveiling “GO GLOBAL” as its new event vision. As a platform for promoting Japanese idol culture worldwide, participants will continue to create new forms of excitement and inspiration under the “GO GLOBAL” vision.

Now in its fourth year, the IRC has grown alongside the idols who perform there and their many fans into one of Japan’s largest events blending idols and fashion.

The goal is to continue spreading our wings and taking flight, and for every single person involved with the IRC to continue growing. With that in mind, we have chosen “GROWTH” as the theme for the IRC 2026 Fall/Winter collection.

During this event, idols will take on looks they’ve never shown before on the runway, and the performances will be sure to touch someone’s heart. For everyone―from the fans gathered at the venue to the viewers watching from home―will be able to share in the same excitement.

The new forms of expression born during IRC serve as the “bud” that allows idols to grow and take their next step toward new possibilities, while the energy that fills the venue leads to the “fruit” that deepens the bond between fans and their favorite idols.

Each of these experiences builds upon the others, passing from solid achievements to new beginnings. As the cast, the fans, and even IRC itself continue to grow, this will lead to an even brighter future.

Building on the experience and track record we have cultivated to date, we will serve as a place where the “GROWTH” of performers, fans, and everyone involved begins. While creating new challenges and possibilities, we will continue to promote the future of Japanese idol culture both domestically and internationally.

■[IRC APP] New “Oshi-katsu Type Quiz” Content Now Available to Help You Discover Your “Oshi-katsu Style”

A new feature called the “Oshi-katsu Type Quiz,” which lets you determine your own “oshi-katsu style,” has been added to the official IRC service, “IRC APP.”

Even though we all share the same feeling of “loving our favorite idol,” the way we show our support varies from person to person. This quiz allows you to determine your unique “oshi-katsu activity” style—one of 16 different types—simply by answering all 14 questions. We conduct a multifaceted analysis of behaviors, values, emotions, and sense of distance in fan activities based on four dimensions, and share the results using a four-character code. Additionally, we’ve created original characters and taglines for each type, so you can enjoy your favorite style visually as well.

One of the app’s key features is that anyone who is actively supporting their favorite artist, regardless of genre, can enjoy it. The quiz results can be shared directly on social media, and when fans share their results, it creates new opportunities for communication. In addition, members can take advantage of a “Compatibility Quiz” that identifies the type of person best suited for them based on three criteria: “Your Ultimate Social Media Partner,” “The Person You Want to Sit Next to at an Offline Meetup,” and “The Person You’ll Never Be Able to Leave.” We hope you’ll enjoy this new content, which lets you experience “supporting your favorite artist” in a way that’s a little different from live shows and events.
