Takuma Usa will appear in the new MBS Drama Ladies on Top, which premieres on March 5.
The show is a powerful and charming romantic comedy in which an elite corporate executive―the “guy she wants to be with”―and a demure beauty―the “girl he wants to be with”―challenge traditional gender roles. Takuma Usa will play the role of Saeki, a junior colleague of Shinomiya, an elite trading company executive.

“My name is Takuma Usa, and I’ll be playing the role of Yukiya Saeki in Ladies on Top.
When I received the script, I felt that Saeki was a straightforward and energetic character. Because of his straightforward nature, he struggles with and is conflicted by what society calls “normal.” Through this work, I hope to create something that will prompt viewers to reflect on what they consider “normal” and to find out what their “true feelings” are.”

[Summary]
Mitsuki Kajitani (played by Kohaku Shida) takes pride in her neat appearance and has had her fair share of dating experiences, but the truth is, she really hates it when men are overly affectionate or take the lead. No matter who she dated, the relationships never lasted, and she’s now 24 and single. Mizuki, who longs to find “the happiness of an ordinary girl,” starts dating Takayuki Shinomiya (played by Hayato Takao), an elite employee at a major trading company! However, something unexpected happened on her first night with Shinomiya…Just as they were about to get down to business, something seemed off about him. Shinomiya himself struggles to take the lead with women and has been unable to overcome his insecurities and trauma regarding sex. Seeing Shinomiya blushing and apologizing, Mizuki realized for the first time that her heart was racing. She realizes how uncomfortable she feels about always being the passive one, always wanting to be the one in charge. Faced with Mizuki’s proactive attitude, Shinomiya’s true feelings—which he had been hiding all along—are starting to show!
