Natume Mito Appears in New Film ‘Kodoku na Rakuen’

Natsume Mito can now be seen in the film Kodoku na Rakuen, which was released in theaters on September 6.

Directed by Ikki Katashima (The Tang of Lemon) and written by Jirou Yoshikawa, the film tells a story of love and family, with the absurdity of human existence as its main theme. You Tsushima, a popular novelist preparing to begin a new series, and Ayame Susa, a girl abandoned by her mother, see their lives intersect in a peculiar way.

Tsushima’s female editor is played by Natsume Mito.

<Story>
You Tsushima (Sho Aoyogi), a popular novelist preparing to start a new series, is in a slump, and time is running out as he stares at his blank manuscript.
Abandoned by her mother and traumatized by the suicide of her strict Christian father, Ayame (Akiho Otsubo) was raised by her overbearing aunt and works in a factory on the island, living a bland, unchanging life.
One day, a foreign colleague asks Ayame to write a love letter on his behalf.
“Please find my love.”
Tsushima happens to see the letter. Will paradise be found at the intersection of these two lives that were never meant to come together?
