JUICYJUICY, a dance and vocal unit from Okinawa, released its 5th digital single, Sunshine LOVER, on July 24.

The third release in a series of summer songs, this track, which includes rap sections, comically and rhythmically tells the story of a young girl falling for her senior during a youthful summer. As with previous songs, the lyrics and music were written by YUKI JOLLY ROGER, who was a member of BENNIE K since 2001 and currently works as a composer and sound producer. The lyrics are sprinkled with Okinawan motifs, such as palm trees, beach huts, and lion dog statues, and the melody, which evokes a sense of nostalgia amid the upbeat sound, creates a song that captures the exhilaration of summer and love.

“A scorching summer. After seeking shelter in the shade to avoid getting burned and overheated, the sunlight looks incredibly vibrant and captivating when you look at it from a new perspective. I began working on this song inspired by the idea that this impulse is similar to falling in love. With live concerts in full swing this season, I hope fans will take every precaution against heatstroke when you head out, and that they’ll recharge with the sun’s energy along with JUICYJUICY’s music.”
