CANDY TUNE Completes Nationwide Tour Finale, 2-Day Nippon Budokan Concert Announced to Celebrate Group’s 3rd Anniversary

2025.12.07

CANDY TUNE held an additional performance of ‘CANDY TUNE JAPAN TOUR 2025 – AUTUMN – ‘TUNE QUEST’ at Tokyo Garden Theatre on December 5. During the performance, it was announced that a 2-day solo concert will be held at Nippon Budokan on June 5 and June 6, 2026.

CANDY TUNE made significant strides in 2025, including their appearance on the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, winning the Excellence Award at the 67th Japan Record Awards, and having their song BaiBai FIGHT! reach #1 on Billboard JAPAN’s 2025 year-end chart “Heatseekers Songs.” This performance was held as an additional show in the nationwide tour, which began on October 1 and visited eight cities: Kanagawa, Osaka, Aichi, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Hokkaido, Miyagi, and Tokyo. All previous performances have been sold out, and tickets for this additional performance were also sold out. Approximately 8,000 fans gathered at the venue.

A rock overture performed by a band, unlike anything you’d expect at an idol concert, reverberated throughout the venue as hanamaru begins to play. The crowd roared with cheers that rivaled the band’s performance during the following Absolute Canchu Declaration!, kicking off what was surely Japan’s hottest live show of the day.

“Are you ready to show your love?!” Fukuyama Rino called out, before the girls launched into “Aishichattemasu♡,” which has been trending on social media following its debut on this tour. The rich rock sound, cute pop lyrics, and choreography blend perfectly, and sent Tokyo Garden Theatre into a frenzy. Riding this momentum, they instantly performed Kyukyukyu Cute and Are You Zombie? Furthermore, with Hissatsu Azato Pose, they shot straight through fans’ hearts with their adorably sly lines, blazing through the first half of the show.

During the MC segment, they took on the “quest” challenge that had been part of previous tours. This time, the quest tested whether fans throughout the venue could respond to the members’ calls, creating an atmosphere as lively as during the live performance. Amidst this, Nanako Ogawa said, “This is tough…” triggering the start of Oshi♡Suki♡Shindoi.

Suddenly, footage of each of the seven members expressing gratitude to the others began to play. As the venue filled with an emotional atmosphere from their touching messages, a string ensemble began playing. The members, now in new costumes, sang Ienakatta Kotoba ~Arigatou~ and Eternal Twilight. Sitting in chairs, they member sang their hearts out. They flawlessly executed a performance that was the complete opposite of their earlier pop and powerful act, showcasing their immense potential beyond just being cute. After this spectacular part ended, Miyano Shizuka stood at the center stage and announced the next song: Nanairo Prologue. The harmonious blend of string performances and band sounds delivered an unprecedented, lavish stage show that was both beautiful and passionate.

As the live show entered its final stretch, the venue’s energy surged with CANDY TUNE’s debut song Kiss Me Pattisier. They then delivered a series of cool performances with Twilight Dilemma and TUNE MY WAY. During the MC segment, Mizuki Kirihara reflected on the tour performances so far, saying, “We visited eight cities this time, but what really stands out is that CANDY TUNE was able to perform solo in places like Miyagi and Hiroshima for the first time.” Ogawa also said, “It was fun eating lots of local specialties together and then just going to sleep,” but then, she suddenly started dozing off on stage as Sonaeareba Moumantai (G.R.W.M) began. “Hey everyone, is this all you’ve got? Let’s get even more hyped!” Natsu Minami fired up the crowd, sending the venue’s excitement to a fever pitch. With the venue united as one, they performed their signature song BAIBAI FIGHT! They sang the smash hit that propelled CANDY TUNE’s name to stardom with a beaming smile, and for the finale, they once again performed Aishichattemasu♡, a song that debuted on this tour and has grown alongside them. The members returned to their seats, bringing the main performance to a close with beaming smiles not only on their own faces but also on those of their fans.

During the encore, not only the members but also martial artist Nobuaki Kakuda appeared on stage as a guest alongside the sound of Japanese taiko drums. Kakeda caused a major stir when he passionately sang BAIBAI FIGHT! after a DeNA Yokohama BayStars game in August. This time, thanks to that moment, he appeared as a guest and performed BAIBAI FIGHT! together with the members. Fans are buzzing with excitement over this astonishing collaboration, but the surprises weren’t over yet. As Mr. Kakuda left the stage and was taking photos with fans in the venue, suddenly, nostalgic images of the members from 96 days before their debut appeared on the screen. Alongside a voiceover by Mr. Kakuda, who was supposed to have left, a playback of the days of hard-fought battles up to this point unfolded. Finally, it was announced that the group would hold a solo concert at Nippon Budokan on June 5 and 6, 2026, just 182 days later.

Following this announcement, Fukuyama stated, “During the behind-the-scenes footage for this tour, when we were interviewed individually, without anyone coordinating beforehand, every single one of us said, ‘We want to perform at Nippon Budokan.’ Thank you for allowing us to perform on such a grand stage for two days. Before, I might have felt anxious, but now I truly believe that with us and our fans, we’ll definitely succeed. So I won’t let my guard down either―I want to keep growing the group together with you all,” she said, tears streaming down her face as she expressed her resolve for the next stage.

With the emotional announcement still resonating, the group closed with LASTING TUNE against a backdrop of footage showcasing their activities to date. Their path has never been straightforward; they have advanced through twists and turns since their debut. Starting from small stages, they completed this year’s nationwide tour spanning eight cities and their largest solo concert to date. Next year, a two-day concert at Nippon Budokan commemorating their third anniversary awaits. It wasn’t just their own strength that brought them this far―it was also because they had fans cheering them on. They poured their hearts into conveying that gratitude through their singing voice to the fans watching at the venue and online.

CANDY TUNE delivers versatile performances, seamlessly transitioning from pop and powerful songs to mellow showings as they overcame various challenges. However, they are still in the process of growing. The 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen awaits at year’s end, and next year will bring a concert at the Nippon Budokan. CANDY TUNE will surely continue to show us sights we’ve never seen before.
