Two new members, Kokoro Hagita and Seia Yamada, have joined the idol group Toi Toi Toi, which was formed through the girl group audition show Dark Idol, produced by founder Mirai Asakura, ABEMA, and ASOBISYSTEM.

“Dark Idol PROJECT” is an audition program that began as a project to support women who have faced setbacks and struggles in finding a second chance. The show drew widespread attention as many viewers were deeply moved by scenes of the participants breaking down in tears while revealing their painful pasts, as well as their desperate struggle to hold on to a dream they had nearly given up on after overcoming grueling training. Toi Toi Toi debuted in April 2025 with a lineup of six members—Kaori Ichijo, Kyoka Taniya, Moka Hashimoto, Tina Hoshino, Sara Maegaki, and Momo Sakura, who joined partway through—who had all successfully made it through an audition process that lasted about three months. The group’s name is derived from a “good luck charm” chanted when wishing someone success or happiness, such as “It’ll work out” or “You’ll be fine! Hang in there!” With “Be Alright” as their concept, they aim to be a source of inspiration through the unique expression only they—having experienced both joy and hardship—can offer.

The new members, Kokoro Hagita and Seia Yamada, were both former idols. Both of them had nearly given up on their dreams at one point, but they still reached out toward the future and made a firm resolution to start anew as members of Toi Toi Toi.

The first live performance with this highly anticipated new lineup will take place on January 5, 2026, at Spotify O-WEST as part of “PEAK SPOT JOIN Vol. 3 – New Year Special -.” Tickets for this performance go on sale on December 4, at 8:00 p.m. In addition, the group’s activities under the current lineup will conclude with the “Toi Toi Toi Year-End Grand Thank You Festival 2025,” to be held at Omotesando GROUND on December 30.
