Singer-songwriter Natsuki Kawanishi has been selected to provide the theme song for Nara Fushigi Tabi Zukan, a travel program on BS-TBS (sponsored by JR Tokai 1) that explores the charms of Nara, an ancient capital of Japan with a long and storied history. The song, See You Soon, will be available to stream starting August 20.

This song was co-written with Sho Yamamoto, who has provided music to numerous artists across various genres and has been involved in many high-profile productions. The song is a warm and nostalgic ballad that conjures images of Nara, Kawanishi’s hometown, and is sure to touch the hearts of everyone who listens to it.

This will be the artist’s second collaboration with Yamamoto, following her previous song optimism, and more works will be released throughout 2025.

“I wrote this song while thinking about scenery that feels like a ‘spiritual hometown,’ a place you visit on a trip or for the first time, but somehow makes you feel relieved and nostalgic. I imagined a friendly world where people, animals, and even the landscape seem to say, “Welcome home.”
Just like my previous song, this track was co-written by Sho Yamamoto and was created following a series of thoughts and feelings as we discussed its production. Even if it’s not your actual hometown, I would be happy if this song conjures those same feelings as it accompanies you gently.”
