The upcoming feature-length animated film Meikyu no Shiori by Shoji Kawamori, known for his work on the Macross and Aquarion series and as the theme project producer at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, will be released in January 2026. The main character, a high school girl named Shiori, will be voiced by SUZUKA from ATARASHII GAKKO!

The otherworldly film will feature unique music and imagery. It will be the culmination of Kawamori’s work and the result of a collaboration between past staff members, including character designs by Risa Ebata, who worked with the director on Macross F and its film version.
