ATARASHII GAKKO! Makes a Pledge to Fans During the Group’s 10th Anniversary Concert
2025.07.29

On July 19, ATARASHII GAKKO! held its 10th anniversary concert, ‘Oath: 10 Years of Individuality and Standing Out,’ at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 9-11. The date was a powerful one for the group, which held its first live performance on July 19, 2015.
About 10,000 fans gathered at Makuhari Messe, the largest venue for the girls to date, to celebrate the group’s 10th anniversary. After the opening video, a car resembling a wild boar carrying the members appeared with the introduction of the new song Go Wild, and was greeted by the audience with thunderous cheers. The group continued with powerful momentum, launching into Toryanse and Free Yourself, putting on a flawless performance with the ATARASHII GAKKO! Dancers.
“Today, I hope to create wonderful memories of my youth,” RIN shouted, before the group performed Night Before the Exam. From this point on, dancers and members of the Youth Music Club band joined in for a special lineup that was appropriate for the 10th anniversary live performance. ATARASHII GAKKO! continued with beloved tracks like koi geba and the 10th anniversary version of Miyao from the group’s best-of album, which was released on July 16. During mayoeba toutoshi, the girls descended from the stage and ran around the audience in all directions, prompting major excitement from the fans.
“Ten years ago today, we had our first live concert,” said KANON. “We held our first show in a small tent with maybe 50 or so people in attendance. But today, 10 years later, we are so happy that this many people have gathered!” The girls then looked back at their early days, sharing their earnest feelings. The girls then performed Pineapple Kryptonite, a song from their global expansion in 2021 that was a turning point in their career, along with a remixed version. Toumei boy followed, during which the girls utilized a trolley, with Otana Blue performed with a new band arrangement. Balloons with the members’ faces were released during Que Sera Sera, enveloping the venue in an atmosphere of fun.
During Tokyo Calling, the last song of the show, the four members lined up on the main stage and pledged to celebrate their youth with everyone in the world. “ATARASHII GAKKO! will continue to stick out with our individuality and freedom in the future,” they promised.
“We will continue to unite with everyone in the world via this entertainment that only the four of us can create,” SUZUKA said during the encore. She expressed his gratitude to the fans for their support over the past 10 years and reaffirmed the solid bond between the four members.
