CANDY TUNE Completes Second Anniversary Tour, Shows Overall Growth at Markuhari Event Hall

2025.05.08

CANDY TUNE, a 7-member idol group from the KAWAII LAB. project, held additional performances for their first hall tour ‘CANDY TUNE 2nd ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2025 ‘CANDY CANDY PARTY’ on May 4 and 5 at Makuhari Event Hall in Chiba.

The tour began on April 11 at Niterra Japan Specialty Ceramic Industry Civic Center’s Forest Hall in Aichi, followed by a stop at Fenice Sakay Grand Hall in Osaka (April 18) and Tokyo International Forum Hall A in Tokyo (April 29), with the festivities concluding with a final performance at Makuhari Event Hall. The Makuhari concert, which was CANDY TUNE’s first solo arena-scale live performance, drew approximately 12,000 people over the two days, with a total attendance of 21,000 for the entire tour. The show was the culmination of the group’s two years of activities, with the seven members showing remarkable growth since the release of their first single CD, Kiss Me Patissier, in 2024.

The show was performed entirely with a full band set. After the audience was left wanting more following the Overture, the live show began with an energetic performance of Kiss Me Patissier. The song has become synonymous with the group and was created by the incredible team of Naoki Kubo and Suu (SILENT SIREN). The moment the intro sounded, the audience’s glow sticks twinkled in unison, and the seven members boldly appeared from the audience seats.

The brightness and positive energy of CANDY TUNE spread throughout the venue immediately, and the following song, hanamaru, showed the positivity that symbolizes the group’s current momentum and relationship with the fans, while Mikan Na Seishun broadened the range of emotions shown early in the concert.

After the members introduced themselves, Rino Fukuyama thanked the fans. “Thank you for coming to celebrate our second anniversary with us,” she said, before starting a special call and response during the song Absolute Canchu Declaration! The bright and unique performance brought the audience to their feet, and they continued with the cute CATCH YOU and the danceable TUNE MY WAY to keep the energy at a fever pitch. The show took a dramatic turn with Twilight Dilemma. The sadness of the song, like the sky at sunset, and the pacing of the chorus, like a search for light, contrasted with the bright tone of the previous songs and struck a chord with the audience.

The concert then entered the middle block. After interacting with the fans during the question and answer segment and quickly closing the distance with the audience, the energy on stage and in the audience was reignited with the lively beat of G.R.W.M. After a video clip of CANDY TUNE’s past progress was shown, the members reappeared wearing costumes prepared exclusively for this tour, and Nanako Ogawa called out the line “bias.love.hurts.” The new song by Hyadain has attracted tons of attention and is a great look into the mind of anyone obsessed with idols. This powerful song, which symbolizes where the group is now, brought the audience’s excitement to its peak. My Knockout Flirty Pose concluded the middle block of the show, as the cheers from the audience grew louder and the members performed cuter and cuter special moves.

Keeping with the title of bias.love.hurts, a plan was conducted to announce the best points of each member as chosen by lottery. The audience laughed and cheered as each girl introduced another member’s charm from their own unique perspective.

The concert resumed with Etcetera LOVE YOU, as the girls showed off the song’s catchy choreography. From this moment on, things became more emotional as the reality of the group’s second anniversary sank in. The euphoric performance of Nanairo Prologue brought forward the group’s early passion and the first days of CANDY TUNE. The venue was filled with warmth as the group performed Words I Couldn’t Say ~Thank You~, as the members expressed their gratitude to the fans and friends who have supported them so far.

During the last part of the show, WAO! Aoharu! prompted the fans to swing their towels in unison, and enthusiastic words echoed through the venue as it was followed by Levechi Kawaii! The two bright and catchy songs were synchronized with the smiling and dynamic faces of the members, and led the way to the final number.

“Let’s have more fun,” yelled Natsu Minami, as the viral hit BAIBAI FIGHT! began. The song, which has been viewed more than 2 billion times on TikTok, was met with cheers from the intro, and the powerful voices of the members mixed with the synchronized call and response of the fans, creating the most enthusiastic atmosphere of the day at the Makuhari Event Hall.

For the encore,  the members reappeared in T-shirts and spoke to the audience through tears before performing a new song, LASTING TUNE, which debuted for the first time during the additional show. This song, which evoked a sense of the group’s future, was a fitting end to the anniversary performance.

The members got as close to the audience as they could while performing both Kiss Me Patissier and BAIBAI FIGHT! one more time. CANDY TUNE, running at full throttle until the very end, left the stage with a deep bow, amidst the loud cheers of the massive audience.

During the Tokyo concert on April 29, the group’s first national tour, CANDY TUNE JAPAN TOUR 2025 – AUTUMN -, was announced as a surprise. Starting in October, CANDY TUNE will tour eight cities across Japan, and fans are asked to continue showing their support.
