After completing their second world tour in October, which wowed over 65,000 fans worldwide, ATARASHII GAKKO! returned to Japan to start their ‘NIPPON CALLING TOUR 2024,’ marking their triumphant return to their home country with a performance at Kobe’s World Memorial Hall on November 3.
The live performance blended new tracks with popular hits like OTONABLUE, which became a smash hit last year and made the neck-swinging dance a trend on social media. The show captivated the audience, which boasted the kind of production that only a solo show on such a massive scale could provide.
In the middle of the performance, the girls yelled “We’re home,” to which the audience warmly replied “Welcome back!” Member Mizyu was moved, explaining that “When someone says welcome back, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.” Suzuka agreed, delighted to be performing in Japan again and simply saying “I’m so happy.”
The national tour will be the largest ever for the group, with a total of 11 shows in seven locations around Japan. The finale will be held at Yoyogi 1st Gymnasium in December. The girls hope that more and more people will be able to experience their incredible live shows as they continue to take over the world.
