I am I is a hopeful song expressing the importance of being proud of one’s individuality and enjoying self-expression. The catchy chorus and easy melody are easy to get lost in, and listeners are sure to enjoy Toua’s urban pop track with the powerful message of loving yourself just the way you are. 

The music video for I am I premiered on YouTube on July 26 at 20:00 and was directed by Keisuke Shimizu, the creative director of the popular YouTube channel THE FIRST TAKE and the music documentary Okaeri Ongakushitsu on NHK General. 

The song and the accompanying music video are packed with positive messages from Toua’s heart, such as ‘be yourself’ and ‘respect diversity.’ The video premiere was attended by the artist herself, who shared commentary, and a teaser for the video is also available to watch on Instagram.
