CANDY TUNE Releases ‘Laid-Back Journey’ from Upcoming FIrst 1st Single CD ‘Kiss Me Patissier’ on Streaming Services

2024.06.19

CANDY TUNE will release its first single CD, Kiss Me Patissier, on August 7. Ahead of the release, the group began streaming the song Laid Back Journey on June 19.

Laid Back Journey is a cover of the track by Kiminone, and CANDY TUNE was chosen to cover the song because the members appeared in the song’s original music video. The track is the opening theme for the third season of the anime series Laid-Back Camp, and the music video has been a hit on social media for its recognizable scenery including Bentenjima Seaside Park, which the main character Rin Shima visited in the show’s second season. The jacket for the song shows the seven members wearing the same outfits they sported in Kiminone’s music video while on a camping trip.

The single CD Kiss Me Patissier will be available in four formats–First Edition, CANDY Edition, TUNE Edition, and Standard Edition. All four formats will include the song BAIBAI FIGHT! The First Edition will include Laid Back Journey and Etcetera Love You, performed during the tour finale. The CANDY Edition will include Hissatsu Azato Pose, a track that trended on TikTok for the members’ adorable poses. The TUNE Edition will include the addictive song Sonaeareba Moumantai (G.R.W.M.), and the Standard Edition will feature Etcetera Love You.

CANDY TUNE is currently holding release events around Japan. Check the group’s official site for details on dates and locations
