The Tokyo-based girl artists and creators’ collective bala has released the music video for Heavenly, their second single released on June 2.

The disco house tune is packed with 90s flavor and was produced by the overseas duo BODYSYNC, consisting of Ryan Hemsworth, who has created official remixes for Carly Rae Jepsen, Porter Robinson, ODESZA, and Lana Del Ray, and San Francisco-based producer and beatmaker Giraffage.

The music video was directed by ufo from the digital creative crew OFBYFOR TOKYO.

“The duality of the bala members is portrayed in the video. It shows their realistic, party-loving selves and their more heavenly, angelic selves. Heaven is soft, gentle, and surreal, while the real world is happy and crazy with a pop feel. No matter what world they inhabit, the bala girls pave their own way. The four members seemed to have the time of their lives as they brought heaven and Earth together,” the director commented.
