Illustrator Natsumi Sato will open a pop-up shop at Tower Records Shibuya on May 10. The event is the first part of the CREATOR x TOWER RECORDS project, in which the location will collaborate with several creators from different genres.
The CREATOR × TOWER RECORDS project will focus heavily on artwork, something that is an integral part of music. Up-and-coming creators will be tasked with imagining the style and works of non-existent artists and will need to create artwork and develop collaborative goods based on this prompt.
Sato has drawn a four-member girl band called the Perorin Girls who will release a single titled UP&DOWN. The track’s message, aimed at young people, is to not give up, even as life is filled with peaks and valleys.
Visitors to the venue during the event period can enjoy special collaboration visuals, a message board, and a new video made for the event. Exclusive merchandise will also be on sale.
