KizunaAI, who has been on indefinite hiatus following Kizuna AI The Last Live “hello, world 2022” on February 26, 2022, will resume her activities as a musical artist on February 26, 2025, three full years later.

KizunaAI has been able to connect with people not only in Japan, but also worldwide through her content as the world’s first virtual YouTuber with the desire to “connect.” However, the creator decided to suspend her activities to give herself an update.
During her hiatus, she thought about her future and reaffirmed her desire to connect. “I want to turn what I know and the connections I have made into music, and turn that into even more encounters and connections,” she said.

With her message of “I still want to connect with you and get to know you” in mind, KizunaAI has returned, eager to restart her activities and aiming to connect with even more fans from all over the world through her music.

In terms of music, the artist will focus on sharing a new form of J-pop with the world by fusing the essence of indie music, band sounds, and J-Pop, while maintaining the Japanese internet dance music vibe that was developed before her hiatus.

Regarding KizunaAI’s future plans, she is aiming to release about 10 new songs by the end of 2025, as she has stated in the video that she wants to release an album.
