ASOBISYSTEM 2025 Activity Report [Part 1]

2025.12.29

ASOBISYSTEM continued its activities across various genres, primarily in the entertainment field, throughout 2025. It was a year that paved the way for the future, marked by the remarkable progress of our affiliated artists and the launch of many new projects. This page provides an overview of our company’s major music-related topics for this year.

■ASOBIEXPO Reveals ASOBISYSTEM’s Current Position – Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Resumes Activities

On July 20, the company held the music and culture festival ‘ASOBISYSTEM 18th Anniversary ASOBIEXPO 2025.’ The event featured over 10 artists, including Atarashii Gakko!, idol groups from KAWAII LAB., Kizuna AI, and Klang Ruler, each delivering unique performances in front of an audience of approximately 12,000 people.

Along with these artists, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s stage performance―her first in about a year and two months since giving birth to her first child―generated tremendous excitement. In October, she held her first solo concert since her return, “Kyary Pamyu Pamyu One-Man LIVE 2025 dreamin dreamin,” and she will finally celebrate her 15th anniversary next year.

■ATARASHII GAKKO! Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Last year, ATARASHII GAKKO! headlined the GOBI STAGE at the world’s largest music festival, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2024, and successfully completed a world tour that drew 110,000 people across 33 cities worldwide. Gaining significant attention overseas, they also performed at ‘matsuri ’25: Japanese Music Experience LOS ANGELES,’ a music event held in Los Angeles this March to showcase the appeal of Japanese artists to the world, where their energetic performance thrilled the audience.

At the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025, they achieved a double win, taking home the Best Domestic Dance Pop Artist Award and the Best Dance Performance Award (for Otona Blue). In November, they received the International category award at the 54th Best Dresser Awards.

This year marks the group’s 10th anniversary. On July 19, their founding anniversary, they held an anniversary live concert titled ‘Declaration: 10 Years of Standing Out with Individuality and Freedom’ at Makuhari Messe. The live concert and documentary film Go Wild: ATARASHII GAKKO! THE MOVIE, released nationwide in theaters last June, captures the current status of these artists who have now gained worldwide recognition. With their one-of-a-kind presence and a range of activities, audiences won’t be able to take their eyes off them in 2026 and beyond.

■KAWAII LAB.’s Remarkable Progress

KAWAII LAB. allows each of its affiliated groups to showcase its unique personality and continue its own distinct journey within the music scene. With constant music releases, posts on social media, and live performances, they have gained new fans and expanded the scale of each group’s activities.

At the inaugural MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025, FRUITS ZIPPER won the Best Idol Culture Song Award for Watashi no Ichiban Kawaiitokoro. CUTIE STREET was also nominated in three categories, including Best Idol Culture Song Award, for Can’t we just be cute? -Kawaii Dakejya Damedesuka?-. As a group, they also achieved remarkable success, including being selected for the Best Idol Award.

At the 67th Japan Record Awards, FRUITS ZIPPER’s Kagami and CANDY TUNE’s Baibai FIGHT! won the Excellence Award, while CUTIE STREET took home the New Artist Award. Additionally, FRUITS ZIPPER and CANDY TUNE made their debut appearance on the 76th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen, making it a year in which they achieved many of their dreams.

FRUITS ZIPPER will continue to expand its field of activity both domestically and internationally in 2025. On August 2 and 3, they held additional performances during their 3rd anniversary live show, ‘FRUITS ZIPPER 3rd ANNIVERSARY Chou Chou Chou Medetai Live -San-,’ at Saitama Super Arena (Stadium Mode) for two days, celebrating in style with fans.

<CANDY TUNE>

CANDY TUNE’ Baibai FIGHT!, released last April, became a huge hit this year, especially on social media. The song achieved the remarkable feat of topping the TikTok Popular Songs Chart for 10 consecutive weeks, setting the record for the longest run at number one in the chart’s history (according to ASOBI MUSIC). Additionally, they secured the number one spot on Billboard Japan’s new artist chart, “Heatseekers Songs,” for the year 2025. It truly became the song that defined 2025.

This year marks their second anniversary since their debut, and the girls will hold their first hall tour, “CANDY TUNE 2nd ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2025 ‘CANDY CANDY PARTY’” to celebrate. From October to December, they completed their largest-scale nationwide tour in the group’s history, the ‘CANDY TUNE JAPAN TOUR 2025 – AUTUMN -’. In 2025, their energy reached countless people, and they are now preparing for their first solo concert at Nippon Budokan on June 5 and 6.

<SWEET STEADY>

SWEET STEADY, who debuted in March 2024, released five digital singles and one CD this year, including their first anniversary song SWEET BLOOM, and continue to actively promote their work.

2025 also saw the completion of their first nationwide tour, the “SWEET STEADY JAPAN TOUR 2025 -AUTUMN- ‘Collection’,” visiting six cities and fulfilling their goal of meeting fans across the country. On April 4 and 5, they will hold the ‘SWEET STEADY 2nd ANNIVERSARY LIVE’ at Makuhari Messe. Expectations are high for their future growth.

<CUTIE STREET>

Last year marked another year of significant progress for CUTIE STREET, which debuted last year.

The group’s second single CD, We Can’t Stop Suddenly! / World Makeup Project, was released in July and surpassed 500,000 copies sold in its first week of release. Their signature song Can’t We Just Be Cute? -Kawaii Dakejya Damedesuka?- has surpassed 200 million cumulative streams via the Oricon Weekly Streaming Chart dated October 27 and won the Music Category Award at the ‘TikTok First Half Trend Awards,’ demonstrating its immense popularity.

Additionally, they held their first nationwide tour, ‘CUTIE STREET 1st ANNIVERSARY JAPAN TOUR 2025 “CAN’T STOP CUTIE”’ in 2025, while also expanding their activities overseas. This included holding their first overseas performance at the ‘114th National Secondary School Sports Festival Opening Ceremony’ held in Taiwan in April, and appearing at ‘WONDERLIVET 2025’ held in South Korea in November.

<MORE STAR>

On December 12 at K Arena Yokohama, the 9-member group MORE STAR made their debut during the KAWAII LAB. SESSION vol.17 event hosted by KAWAII LAB. All members are alumni of KAWAII LAB. MATES, and the concept is “WITH KAWAII.” The group name embodies the wish that these young, unpolished girls will grow “more” and become shining stars that inspire admiration from their fans.

■Six-member Boy Band ONSENSE Debuts

This August, the six-member male group ONSENSE, selected through the ‘MEN’S YOAKE AUDITION 2024,’ will debut. The group name combines “onsen” (hot spring), a traditional Japanese element, with “sense.” The members express their true selves and daily emotions, driven by the desire to “envelop the world’s everyday life with music and themes that rise gently like steam.”

Their debut single, YUAKE, features lyrics by Kenmochi Hidefumi, known as the sound producer for Wednesday Campanella, and music composed by soundbreakers, who have gained attention for producing tracks with artists like Shonan no Kaze and Ryokushoku Shakai. In September, they made their stage debut at the 41st Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 AUTUMN/WINTER event. ■Artists Soaring Onto the World Stage

It was a year of active overseas expansion for our artists, including ATARASHII GAKKO! and the KAWAII LAB. groups.

Last year, Natsuki Kawanishi performed live in South Korea, and this year she held her first live concert in Taiwan. Additional overseas performances for Natsuki Kawanishi’s solo concert “last piece” have been confirmed for 2026: January 14 in South Korea and February 28 in Taiwan.
