To commemorate the release of her first EP, I am I, on November 26, Toua held a special event at the Tower Records Shibuya B1F CUTUP STUDIO, where she also celebrated her 22nd birthday with fans. 

The event, which included a free live performance, was so successful that a long line of fans formed even before the doors opened to celebrate the popular artist’s first EP and birthday, even though it was a weekday.

Toua appeared on stage and was instantly met with applause and cheers as the lights dimmed, kicking off the show with a new song, MY Routine. Inspired by Reggaeton, the track boasted a catchy dance packed with cuteness and sexiness, with the chorus instantly catching on with fans. Following this, the lights illuminated the stage, and Toua addressed the crowd. “Hi, everyone, I’m Toua!” The audience responded in kind, yelling “So cute!” and “I love you!” The artist continued. “Thank you! How did you like my new song, MY Routine? This song has been a favorite of mine since I started working on it, and you can stream it starting on November 27, so please give it another listen!” 

The second song of the performance was MEmories, the singer’s first love song. The heart-wrenching lyrics touched the hearts of the audience, and the crowd’s quiet voices seemed to heighten the sense of unity in the venue. 

“You can take pictures or film for the rest of the show,” Toua announced, prompting many fans to take out their phones instantly. “Be sure to take plenty!” Toua then began singing I am I, a song gaining momentum on TikTok since its July release. With its positive message telling listeners to embrace their true selves, the fans in the audience were doubtlessly moved by the performance. 

The audience thought the live concert was over, but the venue turned dark and Toua, who celebrated her 22nd birthday on the day of the event, was surprised with a birthday cake, enveloping the venue in a festive mood as fans congratulated her.

“I’m so happy,” said Toua. “I’m now officially 22, thank you!” The artist then took a photo with the fans and venue in the background. “I’m just so thrilled, thank you so much for today,” she said. After the performance, Toua held a CD signing session, a selfie session, and a farewell party for those who purchased the I am I EP. 

Additional release events were held on November 27 at Asunal Kanayama in Nagoya and on December 1 at Abeno Q’s MALL in Osaka. More information will be posted on social media in the future.
